Right-click on the device, which will bring up the window shown at right below, click the "Details" tab, and write down the Device Instance ID (highlighted in green below). If the converter has no driver, it should appear as a yellow-flagged device, either under "Unknown devices" or "USB devices". To get this information, bring up the Device Manager and look in the list of devices. The USB instance ID for the device is needed. If the system does recognize the new device, it may be possible to locate a different driver for it. When the converter is attached to the system, does the system recognize that a new device has been attached and bring up the USB new device notification in the lower right corner? Some additional information will be helpful to troubleshoot the problem.Īm I correct in reading the problem statement, that when the drivers are installed there is a Windows(NNN) NNN-NNNN blue-screen error?
